Al-Hayat Lilasafeer
Al-Hayat Lilasafeer ("Life for the Birds") is published bimonthly in color, 32 pages per issue. The only magazine for children in the Arabic language in Palestine & Israel, Al-Hayat Lilasafeer is written for children 5-8 years old. ACFA prints approximately 12000 copies each issue, selling 80% of the quantity at the approximate price of publishing. ACFA distributes the remaining issues without charge to children's centers and hospital wings throughout the country and to institutions catering to children in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Throught this publication, ACFA aims to encourage and improve the reading level of children; provide opportunities for self-expression and social interaction; encourage interest in the arts; and open young minds to new ideas. This magazine covers the following topics: science (experiments), the arts (theoretical and handmade), Arabic languistic games, illustrated stories stories, thinking games, songs, and poems.
